Reminders and Updates

 Just a few reminders and updates:

• County ID Badges/ID cards – you have to swipe them at the back door at least once a month in order for it to remain active.  If you come to work using the front door, please remember to do this.

• Please remember to check all contents of items with multiple pieces in the case/bag/box etc. when checking IN and checking OUT this includes DVD’s, CD’s, Decodable books (all libraries), travel guides that include maps, etc.

• Make sure when completing a new library card or updating an existing account that all necessary boxes are checked off – borrower agreement, form of ID, text messaging carrier.  We get so many applications that are missing this information.  Also, don’t forget to initial the application as well.

• When an item is returned extremely damaged, please put in my office with a note on it.  I can reach out to the patron right away.  This includes water damage, food damage, and anything else that is clearly visible. You don’t have to go through every item, just obvious damage.

• Inclement weather – during the week when the County is open they make the decision no earlier than 6:30am and by 4:30pm; on weekends Jenna and Joe make the decision on Saturday by 7am and Sunday by 11am.  If you have any concerns, please just contact me by phone, email or text at 610-761-4897.  If you are scheduled to work and the library closes, you will get paid for the shift that you are scheduled for that day.

• You have probably been receiving emails from Articulate for the 2025 CCL required trainings.  You have until 10/31/25 to complete these.
